Aural Pleasure: Lukos (& Yoga) @ DAM
Tonight, April 30, Gabe Ratliff AKA Lukos will soundtrack a yoga class at The Denver Art Museum. Satori-C will be on hand to tag team. Given that “satori†is a Japanese Buddhist term for “enlightenmentâ€, it seems fitting. And marrying an ancient discipline like yoga with a modern musical genre like electronica seems appropriate for such a cutting-edge art museum.

Festival Window: Winter Music Conference
Winter Music Conference may seem like a misnomer to many, due to its Sunshine State stomping grounds, but Colorado Conference goers were nearly cock blocked by Old Man Winter for the second year in a row. Denver was blanketed in a solid foot of snow when I left; Miami's umpteenth annual mixologist mixer was on fire when I arrived. Sintertainment: Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity
Losing my shirt in a Vegas casino has never appealed to me. Witnessing acrobats and aerialists lose their shirts in a Cirque du Soleil production is a completely different animal. Zumanity, the only Cirque show with actual nudity, has been on my to-do list for years. Even before I collaborated with a former cast member on a performance for Denver's Suite 200, it was on my radar. I finally lost my Zumanity virginity Sunday night.
