April Dawn

April Dawn was born and raised in Colorado but has lived all over the country. She published her first poetry collection 'Lungs Like Elephants' in 2020, which received the Langston Hughes Award in 2021. April loves eating tacos for breakfast, walking her friends' dogs, and reading and writing in the sun. She is excited to grow as a writer at 303 Magazine and is continuously working on her second poetry collection.
