Hot To Squat: Prospecting With Timbuk2

Denver’s newest messenger bag outfitter has done it again and launched yet another absolutely-can’t-live-without-unquestionably-covetable product. And just in time for the holidays, too.

Timbuk2’s custom Prospect backpack is everything you could want out of a backpack, with some little extras you didn’t even know you needed – but do. This new bag packs a punch: large main compartment, front pocket for smaller items, laptop pouch, weatherproof materials, super-comfy straps with a removable sternum strap; even an on-strap bottle opener for an impromptu brew with friends.

logoNow to the best part: these bags are fully customizable. Admittedly, it took me awhile to make my final selection given the seemingly endless options to make it my “own” bag – and I am thrilled with the result. I can proudly sport my new backpack, fairly certain I won’t see another like it.

A few highlights from Timbuk2’s website:

  • flap closure for quick access or roll-top for expandable volume and weather protection
  • internal organizer for pens, phones, and other small stuff
  • 60 fabric options
  • optional water bottle side pocket
  • lifetime warranty

With top-to-bottom customizability, the Prospect can be whatever you want it to be. The only trouble you’ll find is deciding between colors, patterns and fabric choices.

True to their roots, the Prospect packs are made in the U.S. at Timbuk2’s own San Francisco factory. Start creating your own either by heading over to Denver’s Timbuk2 location in Larimer Square (which opened May 2014), or through the company’s website.

303 Magazine reader exclusive: the first 10 comments will be entered to win a free Prospect Pack, courtesy of Timbuk2. Winner will be chosen at random. Drawing will take place Saturday, November 1.

Because really, the only thing better than a custom-built backpack to explore our great state is a free custom-built backpack that is guaranteed and made for life.

  1. I love Timbuk2 bags! They are such great quality. I used to sell them all the time at a sports retail store I used to work for in San Francisco, CA. Great quality and great company!

      1. Thanks! I am so exited about being the lucky winner! I cannot wait to design my new bag.

May I also add, Jodilyn’s article each week are a great read and very informative. In addition to this she is a awesome trainer. I have been taking her classes for almost a year now and I am addicted. When I miss one I am super bummed. She always keeps your muscles guessing and no class has ever been the same.

Thanks again Jodilyn! You’re awesome and I look forward to this weeks article.

  2. I am a bag fanatic. Maybe I live in the dark ages but I’ve never heard of Timbuk2. Thanks for the introduction. I’ll be checking it out!

  4. We're moving to Denver on early 2015 , from SF and are coming with at least 5 Timbuk2 bags.
    They are, quite literally, indispensable!
