The southern cuisine stretches its sticky fingers to Frisco as they host this Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned competition. The weekend begins with a kick off concert at 7:45 p.m. Thursday night, featuring music from bands such as Fishbone and CJ Chenier & The Red Hot Louisiana Band. The BBQ challenge, drawing more than 60 teams, includes categories from meat to salsa to desserts. And that’s not all, this finger-licking weekend also includes a 5K run, a tour of the Breckenridge Distillery and a demonstration from celebrity chef Jenna Johansen from Bravo’s “Around the World in 80 Plates.”
