05/20/2018 – Elephant Revival @ Red Rocks – Morrison, CO

Despite the downpour of freezing rain, fans showed up to Red Rocks with smiles in good old Colorado fashion to say a heartfelt goodbye to an era of their favorite band, Elephant Revival. Openers Hiss Golden Messenger and Blind Pilot literally warmed up the fans stuck in the rain by getting them dancing. Before the Elephant Revival performance, Govern Hickenlooper along with Colorado Land Conservation gave thanks and praise to Colorado’s beautiful free lands such as the one we occupied tonight. Afterward, Elephant Revival graced the stage, opening with a personal favorite “Will Carry On.” As they played I could feel myself — along with many in the crowd — becoming overwhelmed with feelings of gratitude and nostalgia for this amazing group of artists who have come to mean so much to all of us. This evening was a true celebration of all the beauty Colorado has to offer — from its stunning landscape to the amazing artists to the fans who support both.
