Start your week off seeing new art emerge at CRUSH and end it by honoring Leonard Bernstein at Celebrating Bernstein’s 100th Anniversary. CRUSH

The Lowdown: CRUSH is back. The event features a week of street art throughout Denver. You can find featured artists such as Casey Kawaguchi, DINKC, Jason Garcia and more. Each artist will put their mark on Denver’s walls making it an even brighter city. This year, the event is bigger than ever before with satellite exhibits, pop-up shows, artist talks and guided tours accompanying the art.

Smash Mouth, Everclear and Sugar Ray

This Thing is Not My Own

The Lowdown: City O’ City presents This Thing is Not My Own. The exhibition created by Ian Spencer features handmade woodburning and mixed media skateboard pieces that create a series in combination with collaboration pieces.

Golden Triangle Public Art Tour

Hitchcock at the Chez

Art for Stress

The Lowdown: Take a deep breath and let the colors flow at Art for Stress. Spectra Art Space presents a drawing class that allows you to open up your creative mind with the help of Kaitlyn from Exist Vibrantly Art. La Quinceañera

The Cake

The play, written by Bekah Brunstetter, features a journey of Jen as she travels home to North Carolina to ask her late mother’s best friend Della to bake her wedding cake. First Friday Art Walk

29th Annual Denver Art Museum Friendship Powwow

The event, one of the museums longest running events, celebrates Native American cultures with dancers, drum groups and more. Hueman

The Lowdown: Mirus Gallery welcomes HUEMAN. HUEMAN is the moniker that artist Allison Tinati goes by, and in this upcoming exhibition she will present work that showcases her use of color, light and texture to create portraits. The portraits take on a ghostly manner veiled with mixed media forms. The exhibition is on view until September 29, 2018.
Stanley Arts Festival

The Verve Pipe is a rock band that has gained popularity for both rock and children’s music. The Hollow spins rock up with alternative artsy vibes and hard rhythm. CITRA, a Denver based band throws out gritty beats with heavy guitar and edgy vibes.

303 Magazine Pool Party Series

The Lowdown: Cool off from the summer heat at 303 Magazine Pool Party Series. The series ends with one more blow-out party on the rooftop of Halcyon. Celebrating Bernstein’s 100th Anniversary
