1,000+ Yogis, Teachers and Wellness Experts Are Coming to Denver This September

As Denver continues to grow its reputation as a destination for health, wellness and mindful living, more people are looking beyond traditional fitness classes for experiences that bring together movement, mental health and community.

This September, more than 1,000 yoga teachers, practitioners, wellness experts and community members will gather at Denver Botanic Gardens, Chatfield Farms for the Denver Yoga Summit, taking place September 11–13, 2026.

The three-day gathering will focus on movement, mindfulness, healing and connection — and attendees don’t need to be experienced yogis to participate. The summit welcomes people of all experience levels, making it an opportunity for both longtime practitioners and anyone curious about yoga and wellness to find their place in the community.

Why Denver Is Becoming a Wellness Destination

Denver has long attracted people drawn to an active lifestyle, outdoor recreation, and wellness. Now, the city is increasingly becoming a destination for larger-scale health and mindfulness experiences.

Denver has been ranked among the top five yoga-friendly cities in the nation, reflecting the city’s established yoga community and broader interest in health-conscious living.

That culture creates a natural home for an event like the Denver Yoga Summit, where yoga becomes part of a much larger conversation about how people care for their bodies, manage stress, and build meaningful connections.

The growth of wellness gatherings also reflects a broader demand for experiences that feel intentional and community-driven. For many people navigating demanding careers, busy schedules, and the effects of stress and burnout, wellness is no longer simply about exercise. It is about finding practical ways to slow down, reconnect and create sustainable habits.

More Than Yoga: A Community Response to Stress and Burnout

Yoga and mindfulness can offer tools for people dealing with the everyday pressures of modern life — from work-related stress to burnout and the constant demands of being connected.

The Denver Yoga Summit brings those ideas together through classes, teachers, wellness experts, and community experiences designed to encourage participants to move, reflect, and connect.

Rather than positioning yoga as something reserved for a particular type of person or fitness level, the summit emphasizes accessibility and community.

Whether someone has practiced yoga for years, is returning to the mat, or has never attended a class, the event offers an opportunity to explore mindfulness and movement in a welcoming environment.

Dan Nevins Brings a Message of Resilience to the Summit

One of the notable teachers and speakers joining the Denver Yoga Summit is Dan Nevins, a world-renowned speaker and yoga teacher whose message of resilience, perseverance and hope has inspired audiences for more than a decade.

A highly decorated U.S. Army veteran, Nevins was severely injured in 2004 when an IED detonated beneath his vehicle in Iraq. The injury resulted in the loss of both legs below the knee as well as a traumatic brain injury.

Today, Nevins uses his experience to help others explore resilience and mindful living. In 2026, his work continues to bridge the gap between military service and mindfulness and yoga practices, with teaching experience at major venues, including the White House and international festivals.

At the Denver Yoga Summit, Nevins will lead attendees through an empowering yoga flow while incorporating his personal life journey.

His approach is rooted in vulnerability and the belief that everyone faces their own version of a “personal war” – and that yoga can provide tools to move from brokenness toward wholeness.

Nevins is a Certified Baptiste Yoga Teacher and the Founder of Warrior Spirit Retreat.

His appearance adds another dimension to the summit, demonstrating how yoga can extend beyond physical movement and become a practice of resilience, perspective and connection.

A Wellness Gathering With a Community Impact

The Denver Yoga Summit is also placing an emphasis on giving back.

With every ticket purchased, DYS supports organizations and initiatives focused on mental health, veterans and traumatic brain injury survivors.

The summit is also collecting food donations during the event to benefit Food Bank of the Rockies, giving attendees another way to contribute to the wider community.

That community focus is part of what makes large wellness gatherings increasingly significant. Beyond bringing people together around fitness and mindfulness, events like the Denver Yoga Summit can create opportunities for local businesses, wellness professionals, teachers, organizations, and community groups while supporting causes that extend beyond the event itself.

For anyone looking for a different kind of weekend — one centered on movement, mindfulness, personal growth and community — the Denver Yoga Summit offers three days to step away from the usual pace of life and reconnect.
