We here at 303 Magazine know how much you love local music. 303 Music Vol. 1 was our gift to you to showcase the best local musicians in the best possible platform. We’re back with more of your favorites in our exclusive release of 303 Music Vol. 2 partnered with vinyl heavy-hitter, Vinyl Me, Please.

Our second vinyl features 12 tracks of strictly Colorado musicians including gems like The Motet, DeVotcKa and Tennis.

For a second year, we’ve teamed up with Youth on Record — a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering troubled teens through music. Our aim is to support local organizations as well as local artists. This organization holds an important place in our musician’s hearts.

“Having a positive activity for our youth while getting them involved in music is great for not only the youth of Denver but also helps grow the scene as well,” – Motion Trap.

Eighty percent of the proceeds of each record sold will go towards helping Youth on Record continue its important work in our community.

We have once again paired up with a local artist to create some incredible album art. Anna Charney — a Denver native — was a featured artist in the 2018 Crush Wall Exhibit in RiNo Art District. Her murals are the inspiration behind this year’s cover.

The wait is finally over. With the marking of 303 Day, we have officially released our second vinyl, 303 Music Vol. 2 both online and in stores for only $22. Buy it here.

303 Vinyl Vol. 1

We love local artists. And for the first time, we’re releasing a compilation record that is purely Colorado. Teaming up with “the best damn record club out there,” Vinyl Me, Please, we’re putting together a 12-track album featuring strictly Colorado musicians.

The album will feature beloved Colorado artists like GRiZTrev Rich, Wildermiss, an exclusive track by Flobots and more — all only on vinyl. “I love that the Denver music scene is one where the artists strive to uplift their community,” expressed Denver DJ and producer GRiZ. “It says a lot that people are wanting and doing what’s best for their culture. I’m honored to be a part of it.”

In addition to showing local love by featuring Colorado musicians, we sought out the assistance of local artist John Vogl for the 303 Music Vol. 1 cover art. Vogl took his inspiration for the art from the colors of the Colorado flag and natural beauty of our state. He has spent years making concert posters for a variety of bands— St. Vincent, Shakey Graves and Sylvan Esso to name a few.

By partnering with Youth on Record 80 percent of all profits from the album will benefit the organization, creating a better tomorrow for them and in turn, the Colorado community as a whole.

“Youth on Record far exceeds anything that we possibly could imagine,” said local alternative band Flobots. “That’s because the city came together to make it happen, and we think that’s one of those things that makes Denver so special. That’s why we stay here because Denver is a special place.”
