Denver electro-funk staple just dropped a full-length live album. Recorded at this year’s Sonic Bloom, it’s the perfect release to get you through your Friday and into the weekend. Not only will this release hold you over until you clock out today, it will hold you over until the Tnertle’s next album, due out this December.
Live at Sonic Bloom 2018 features both released and unreleased tracks, including “Dance All Night,” “Dope,” a seven-minute mix of their usual live cover “Snake Charmer” and even an untitled track from their upcoming album. But the untitled song isn’t the only unreleased track you can check out — “Rando” is another taste of Tnertle’s upcoming album.
Raymond Salazar — a feature on a handful of Tnertle tracks — made an appearance for Tnertle’s Sonic Bloom set and thus is featured on the live album. Knowledge Thyself is also featured on Live at Sonic Bloom. Trent Campbell, frontman of Tnertle, said that he’s been wanting to work with Knowledge Thyself for quite some time, and the musician just happened to be at Sonic Bloom this year leading to a live collaboration between the two. Not only are there guest vocalists on the live album, cellist Keith Snow sat in on the Sonic Bloom set — his first-ever full performance with Tnertle.

Tnertle is performing at this weekend’s free music festival, Bohemian Nights in Fort Collins at 3:40 p.m. on Sunday. They’re also playing a set on August 16 at Cervantes’ with Breaking Biscuits headlining.
