Who says that yoga has to be quiet and serious? Not Soul Pose. Coined as “the happiest yoga on the planet,” this traveling yoga party will be making its way through Denver this weekend.

“We are excited to be in Denver; it is a beautiful city and the people are dedicated to health and happiness,” said Soul Pose representative Shombree Jackson. “We are so excited to see hundreds of people come to Soul Pose Denver, and be united through a fun and interactive yoga class.”

What

Soul Pose is basically a black light yoga party. It’s less meditation, and more celebration; think of it as the Color Run of yoga (not a bad comparison considering they are organized by the same group). Classes feature hip music, body paint and confetti breaks. The class is good for new yogis or seasoned pros.

“One of the reasons we started Soul Pose was to introduce people to yoga in a non-intimating atmosphere,” said Jackson. “Soul Pose is for all levels of yoga, so all people will feel welcomed. There is a fun and uplifting atmosphere. People can expect to see lots of fun body art, black lights, bubbles, confetti and dance parties.”

Denver is just one stop in Soul Pose’s national tour; other cities include: San Diego, Seattle, Miami and Los Angeles. Each city pulls instructors from surrounding studios to teach the sessions. The two instructors chosen for Denver are Alec Vishal Rouben and Meg Jamison, both instructors in Boulder.

Guests will not go home empty-handed; each $30 registration comes with: a yoga mat, glow bracelet, embroidered towel, namaste bracelet and confetti pack.

Tip: Come wearing white or neon colors (they look better under black lights for those Insta-grammy photos).Photo courtesy of Soul Pose
