The Denver Burger Battle went down last night at City Park, leaving insatiable appetites at its gates. We saw a burger topped with fries and gravy from the Nickel, an artery-threatening Reuben burger from Dunbar Kitchen & Tap House and more creations from 15 of Denver’s best restaurants. Some unexpected competitors threw their hats in the ring (thanks, Stoic & Genuine for that delicious double cheeseburger) and some newcomers, Bingo Burgers, made an impression on Denver’s biggest burger fiends.
A panel of four renowned chefs weighed in on the best of the burger battle. Steve Redzikowski (Acorn), Frank Bonanno (Bonanno Concepts), Tommy Lee (Hop Alley, Uncle), and Dana Rodriguez (Work & Class) ultimately decided Denver’s best burger was Stoic & Genuine. Additionally, event-goers decided a Denver classic, Cherry Cricket as their favorite.
Though it was a battle about beef, no competitors had beef—only great bites and a great time to be had. Until next year’s great throwdown, here’s a look at what you can drool over while looking forward to next year.
