The Get Down: SunSquabi, Snails, and More

 As 2016 paves the way for all of your new hopes, dream, and Instagram hashtags, it also brings with a fresh stack of new shows. This week, as usual, 303 magazine has The Get Down so that you can get down. Read below for all this week’s highly anticipated concerts.
Monday, January 11th

Cervantes, the downtown wonder consistently offering music-themed activities every night of the week. For those who are looking to add a little something extra to the monotony to the usual dull Monday night, they offer a weekly showcase of local talent with the Monday Night Menagerie. This week spotlights local bands Cycles and Wabakinoset. Doors open at 7, entry is $15.00.
Tuesday, January 12th

If you don’t make it to Cervantes’ on Monday night, a second chance will come to you the following evening, for the Electronic Tuesday, this week with Djunya amongst others. This event will begin at 8:00, and for all ages all night, it will only run you $15.00. If you are 21, however, and get there before 10:00 is will be $10.00.
Friday, January 15th

Fast forward to the weekend and that is really where this week gets moving. And move it does, right into a show you definitely will not want to miss. The ever-amazing SunSquabi will be throwing down like always, this time bringing good company with VibeSquaD and Proper Motion. This “Hometown Throwdown” will be happening at the Ogden on Friday, January 15th, at $8:30 PM, and will only set you back $17.00.
Saturday, January 16th

Next up in Denver music is Snails at the Ogden Theater on Saturday. If you are feeling like getting a little bit weird this weekend, then this is the show for you. This Montreal based DJ and producer will be opening the doors at 9:00 PM, and is keeping the ticket sales low at a mere $25.00.
