5 Reasons Why You Should Visit Colorado’s First Drybar

Every girl loves to be pampered. Massages, manicures, spa dates…however, being pampered can get expensive. Luckily, Denver just welcomed its first Drybar – a “salon” that only washes and blow-dries hair. No coloring or cutting is offered. But is the Drybar experience really worth it if you’re only getting a blowout?

Drybar was also questionable to me at first…until I visited the Cherry Creek location that opened less than two weeks ago. The experience was simple: They washed my hair and slowly blow-dried it out into a style that I chose. The styles, all nine of them, are named after cocktails and were pictured in a book in front of me. I could also see treatments that I could add on, such as a scalp massage.

In the end, my look lasted a couple days until I washed and straightened my hair. I went to a sweaty basketball game, slept on it, cuddled on it and even brushed it out – it still lasted and even got messier in a sexy-hair kind of way.

It’s super relaxing.

Sometimes going to a salon can be stressful. You’re getting your hair colored, having to wash it a few times, cross your fingers as you see the final product… But Drybar makes your experience relaxing. I showed up with messy hair, relaxed the whole time she was blow-drying my hair, and left feeling like a celeb.

 

You’ll be in and out quickly.

The total process takes about 45 minutes. It depends on your hair length, of course, but it’s a short enough amount of time to go on your lunch break, while being long enough to actually relax and not be rushed.

 

It’s inexpensive.

A professional blowout and wash is only $40. There are add-ons, which are also fairly priced. I added on the Floater, which is a 10-minute scalp massage for only $10 more. Trust me, it’s worth $1 per minute. You can also request an updo, braid or reparative mask treatment.

Your service is customized.

My hair has a ton of texture. It can get big quickly. I was enlightened when my stylist put together a “mixed cocktail” of product. My hair was soft, didn’t get big like a lion’s mane, and stayed that way even in this crazy, cold Colorado weather.
