I like to think that Denver is full of fit people who brunch together after long runs in the park. Does this sound like Mayberry?
I think it sounds like bRUNch™, Denver’s newest exercise and libations running group.
The only way you can convince me to run is the promise of food and booze. For some people, running is the reward. I’m not some people. So bRUNch™ combines a Sunday morning workout and my favorite meal of the day. Brunch. The things I love about brunch? Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and pancakes! This gives you an opportunity to earn the extra pour of maple syrup.
bRUNch™ meets every Sunday at 10am at a different Denver restaurant. bRUNchers then choose between a 5K or 10K route and then get to enjoy an all-inclusive brunch. This is such a great way to see Denver on foot, and to taste your way through Denver’s best brunch menus. It is also a great way to meet folks in the city and to develop friendships with people that you share a lot in common with. Food and running can bring people together!
This new group starts running April 7, 2013 starting at 10 am at Jonesy’s EatBar, 400 E. 20th Ave. Denver, 80205.
As the weather starts to warm up with Spring just arriving this is a cool way to spruce up the workouts, or to start shedding your winter hibernation pounds. A 5k is even friendly for beginners, so don’t be intimidated!
