I’ve only missed one In Bloom since its inception. As a longtime employee of organizer Greg Bloom, attendance and/or performance was often in my job description. This weekend, I’m booked to roast my sister’s professor in San Antonio, but the eighth annual In Bloom goes down Friday, May 27 at LoDo’s Jet Hotel (site of Bloom’s Old School Salute in December). In alignment with Bloom’s recent charity work for Give Back Hollywood, this installment benefits Japan. The event’s traditional fashion show centerpiece will feature Kimono Dragons and Misc Designs this time around. Though Denver DJ Mada is slated to soundtrack the runway portion, Chicago’s Colette (Om Records) headlines. Get lubricated on sponsor Moon Mountain Vodka, then motivated into motion by the Diluzional Dancers (ogling is an option too).
