Coming back to work after the holiday season can be painful. For many of us, the weeks following break are filled with fantasies of having one more day of vacation. Luckily, Oskar Blues Brewery will help your cubicle days dreams come true with the Ultimate Hooky Day at Loveland Ski Area. If you want to extend your faux-vacation even further, celebrate National Glazed Doughnut Day with Habit Doughnuts this Wednesday. Then once you’ve made it to the weekend, make sure to check out two special beer events with a new release from The Black Project and a mini barrel-aged beer fest at LowDown Brewery. Hopefully, after some beers, doughnuts and a little time on the mountain your post-vacation blues will be a thing of the past.
Make sure to check back every week for more events!

The Low Down: Two different beers will be released for the first time this Sunday by Black Project Spontaneous & Wild Ales—the innovative new project from the creators of Former Future Brewery. Peach Rye Dreamland is a sour golden ale with peaches aged in fresh A.D. Laws Secale Rye barrels. This beer includes all of the components of fruit, base, oak, and spirit with tasting notes of peach, funk, oak, tartness, and a noticeably rye whiskey character. Next, Mach-Limit comes from their revolving fruit series and is a heavily-fruited sour beer made with grapes from Fox Cellars & Vineyard from Palisade, Colorado. The new beer combines bold, earthy, herbal notes from the grape that is balanced with a dry tartness, resulting in a “sangria-like flavor.” Head down to Former Future this weekend and be the first to try these new beers. Bottles will also be on sale, with restricted per-person bottle limits to be determined closer to the event.
