The adorably urban salon is tucked perfectly in Rino, a true up-and-coming art district in Denver. The cozy yet active location is ideal for talented hairstylist, J. Audrey Nelson. With over 14 years of professional experience, Nelson is recognizable for her vintage with a splash of contemporary-glam styling.
Nelson worked alongside award-winning hairstylist and original producer of Denver Fashion Weekend Charlie Price for four years to produce DFW’s hair show. However, we’re excited about her second personal segment at this fall’s DFW – she blew us away with her first segment at last spring’s DFW. Her lips are sealed though; I was only given hints on what to expect Nov. 10.
“The first time I had my own segment was at last spring’s DFW, so I’m really excited about having my own segment again this fall,” Nelson said.
Fortunately Nelson set aside some time to be involved with DFW because the hair show is just one endeavor on her lengthy list…she’s recently opened her very own J. Audrey Hair Studio at 27th and Larimer, a unique and hip community that attracts creative personalities.
“My new space is a truly creative space in a century warehouse where there’s beautiful natural light and all custom finishes. Along with all of my vintage décor, I made it really custom and comfortable,” Nelson said.
J. Audrey Hair Studio is all about “beautiful hair and creative energy.”
“It’s so small and intimate so you get more personal attention rather than being in a big salon and getting lost in the crowd.”
J. Audrey Hair Studio is located at 1320 27th St. Denver, Co. 80205 (buzzer #4) and can be reached at 303.284.8905
