iMovie: Steve Jobs’ Lost Interview

The fruit that inspired an empire

Think Apple is the greatest thing since sliced bread? Then you won’t want to miss Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview, screening tonight and tomorrow at The Esquire. Originally taped during Jobs’ wilderness years for a PBS miniseries called Triumph of the Nerds, the complete footage was thought lost to history until the director recently dug up a VHS copy in his garage. Jobs speaks candidly in it about the nature of product design, longtime rival Bill Gates and John Sculley, the onetime Apple CEO who fired Jobs from his own company. Curious about showtimes? Look them up on your iPhone.

George Peele enjoys strapping on height enhancers and aurally ambushing strangers. He is Music Features Editor for 303’s print edition. Keep your eyes peeled for November interviews with Denver troubadour Nathaniel Rateliff and WaterCourse/City O’ City big (soy) cheese Dan Landes.
