The Lowdown: National Western Stock Show presents An Evening of Dancing Horses. The event features a magical night of live music from the Denver School of the Arts Orchestra, choreographed dances with performers and trained horses and more. Riders and their horses will be dressed in themed costumes as they perform.

Trap Kitchen Cookout Tour

The Lowdown: The Trap Kitchen has partnered with 3 Deep Productions and Roux Black to present a Trap Kitchen Cookout Tour. The tour has made its way to Denver for you to try a pop-up buffet. The Trap Kitchen started out of Compton in 2013 when “Spank” — a chef and a Crip — partnered with “News” — a sous chef and a Blood — to drastically change the course of their lives from the streets to preparing delicious food. The buffet dinner traveling to Denver will be created by Spank and News personally.

The Big Lebowski Movie Party

The Lowdown: Alamo Drafthouse Denver hosts The Big Lebowski Movie Party. The event features a screening of the hit comedy. The film follows the story of Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski as he is mistaken for a man with the same name, known as “The Big Lebowski.”

Beer + Sushi

The Lowdown: Bamboo Sushi partners with Zuni Street Brewing to present Beer + Sushi. The event features a four-course pairing of craft brews and fresh sushi. You can delight in bites of Yakumi, Kumamoto Oyster, Yuzu Tart-Pretzel Beer Brittle and more.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Where: Landmark’s Mayan Theatre, 110 Broadway, Denver

The Lowdown: Landmark’s Mayan Theatre hosts The Wild & Scenic Film Festival. The event features screenings of outdoor and environmentally focused films. Before the screenings, you can participate in a Citizens Action Hub that gives you a chance to support local non-profits.

Drunk History Comedy Show

The Lowdown: Mercury Cafe hosts a Drunk History Comedy Show. The event features a night of hilarious tipsy jokes. The theme of the show is based on the history of immigrants and refugees in America. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Art From Ashes.

Silent Disco Street Party

The Lowdown: ViewHouse Ballpark hosts a Silent Disco Street Party. The event features a night of dancing with live music streaming from three DJs over a pair of SoundDown Party headphones. You can pick and choose the beats you like the most, sip on drinks from ViewHouse and watch a laser and lighting show.

Untitled Final Fridays

The Lowdown: Denver Art Museum hosts the first Untitled Final Friday of 2019. The Untitled series is a monthly program with changing performances, art making, tours and more curated by local artists. This Friday, the group Secret Love Collective will present their Untitled takeover with an interactive installation centered around body language and expression.

Denver Winter Brew Fest

The Lowdown: Mile High Station presents Denver Winter Brew Fest. The event features a two-day festival of beer. You can sample more than 100 different brews from over 40 breweries while celebrating Colorado’s beer community. You can also jam out to live music while you sip.

Mocktail Lunge + Sound Meditation

The Lowdown: Archipelago presents a Mocktail Lounge + Sound Meditation. The event features a happy hour with mocktails created by Kim Doyle, live music by Chaci Mendoza and more. Wanda Sykes: Oh Well Tour

The Lowdown: McNichols Building partners with Buffalo Trace Bourbon to host the Bourbon and Bacon Fest. The event features a celebration of the rich liquor and crunchy sticks of delight.
