Think back to a time of keg stands in the sand, American flag bikinis and cheap shots.

Feeling nostalgic? Most can relate to a time when it was acceptable to start drinking at 9 a.m. and playing beach volleyball was somewhat of an occupation. If this has you reminiscing about spring breaks of the past, fear not. The team who brought Denver the Miracle on Little Raven and The Podium Cocktail Bar pop-ups is announcing its third endeavor — a ’90s-themed  spring break bar. Opening March 22 the bar will pay homage to every college student’s favorite week.

“Our inspiration for the pop-up is the early ’90s on an MTV spring break,” explained operator and owner Jared Schwartz. “We’re going all out with sand, beach balls and Cancun inspired food, essentially giving Denver an excuse to put their feet in the sand in the middle of March. My only advice to those attending is dress appropriately and come ready to have some fun.”

The cocktail menu, created by local legend and Wayward beverage director Alex Flower will include Sex on The Beach, frozen Long Island iced tea and Frosé, to name a few. In addition to the cocktails, the pop up will offer buckets of beer, rosé, wine and of course, Jello shots. And the food is equally as exciting — with a Cancun street food theme in mind, chef Diele has put together an array of snacks from taquitos to fish tacos, poblano pepper quesadillas and ceviche.

You’re never too old to enjoy spring break. And if you’re looking for an excuse to ditch the slacks and heels for a tank top and flip-flops, there’s no better place to be next week than Wayward.  The Spring Break Bar will kick off Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m., at 1610 Little Raven Street For more information check out their site here.
