Top Apartment Gyms in Denver

Denver is known for being an active and fit city, so it only makes sense that with so many new apartment buildings popping up, the level of amenities is increasing as well. Enter the apartment gym. While previously overlooked, apartment communities are becoming vastly aware of just how important it is for renters to be able to consolidate their lives. Free coffee in the lounge? Check. Hot tub and pool? Check. A thorough gym so you don’t have to pay for a membership elsewhere? Double check.

If you’re looking for a new place to call home, or are just curious which of your friends you need to start bumming gym access from, read on for the best six apartment gyms in Denver.

City Gate

Where: 2890 Brighton Blvd, Denver
The Lowdown: City Gate is located in the RiNo district and comes with all the amazing amenities that newer apartment buildings tend to come with. At City Gate, you’ll find a relaxed lounge, a prime location and a surprisingly spacious and well-equipped fitness center. You’ll also find a full free weight area, machines, cardio equipment with TV’s, benches and the space to get your sweat on without having to awkwardly navigate around your fellow apartment dwellers. Because really, who needs to meet their neighbors?

Verve

Where:1490 Delgany St. Denver
The Lowdown: Verve is a brand-new apartment community located right across from the Museum of Contemporary Art. So obviously, it is a pretty cool setup. With their extensive and awesome lounge amenities and unique layouts, it’s no wonder that Verve’s gym space is amazing. Verve set out to accommodate practically any lifter and I’d say they’ve achieved that and more. With one of the largest spaces you’ll find downtown solely dedicated to exercise, you’ll be able to complete your toughest workouts without ever leaving your building.

The Seasons of Cherry Creek

The Lowdown: Probably the best workout space at an apartment community in Denver, The Seasons in Cherry Creek has a large cardio-dedicated room, a large weight dedicated room, a yoga/dance/open space room, full locker rooms and a sauna. That makes a complete setup to make any gym lover happy with sweaty anticipation. Impressive doesn’t cover it.

Marq at RiNo

Where: 2797 Wewatta Way, Denver
The Lowdown: The fitness center at Marq isn’t the biggest, but it does sport what very few apartment gyms have: squat racks. Ask any person who consistently works out; their main issue with apartment gyms is probably how limited they are, mainly for “real” lifts. That term includes the often-overlooked squat rack. Apparently, Marq takes their community member’s leg day seriously, for all those treks up from RiNo to downtown.

Elan at Union Station

Where: 1975 19th st., Denver
The Lowdown: Elan is prime reality with where its located, right above King Soopers and right down the block from Union Station. With all of the luxury that Elan provides in the city, you’d think they could afford to skimp on the gym amenities, but that isn’t the case. Here, you’ll find fixed weights, a full free weight rack, machines and cardio. Better yet, though, you’ll find an open space for yoga and free movement. Obviously, Elan understands that it’s important to stay zen when living in the big city.

Musical Resolutions

Making a New Year's resolution on or before January 1 is admittedly a somewhat arbitrary annual goal-setting regimen. Sure, the Greco-Roman calendar correlates approximately with our astrological lap around the Sun, but getting your ambition on should ideally happen more than just once a year. Still, aiming high is rarely a bad idea, (unless you're defending yourself against a murderous Leprechaun) no matter how trivial the underlying reason for doing so may be.

Boob Tubin’: America’s Got Talent

If you perused my debut blog for 303, “Musical Resolutions” (or if we're virtual friends on Facecrack or Myspazz), you're aware that America's Got Talent has been cyber-stalking me. To recap briefly, a Casting Director somehow found me on Myspazz and asked me to submit for consideration. I submitted an application and several YouTube clips in December and awaited their verdict.
