[Update 9/27] – Altitude Tickets has reported that December 4, will be the date of the rescheduled Chilidsh Gambino concert. Likewise, VInce Staples will remain the opener of the performance. At the time of this update however, there is still no word on Lil Dicky’s rescheduled date.

This summer has seen no shortage of canceled and postponed tours, especially when it comes to hip-hop. Starting with Drake, Nicki Minaj and now Lil Dicky and Childish Gambino — Denver fans (as well as fans in other parts of the country for that matter) have been left high and dry time and time again.

The most recent, Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) who was scheduled to be in Denver on October 9, suffered an injury — a broken foot — dancing at his Sunday concert in Dallas. The injury had developed earlier in the week eventually escalating in Dallas. His “This Is America Tour” — poised to be his last under the Childish Gambino moniker — is especially upsetting. However, all is not lost — one of Glover’s collaborators assured people he’ll be back by the end of the year. It’s also not clear exactly which dates are rescheduled and if it includes all stop or only a select few. So the fate of the Denver date has not yet been officially released — but all signs are pointing to rescheduling.

On the other hand, Lil Dicky has also postponed his “Life Lessons Tour,” including his October 23 performance at the 1stBank Center, due to scheduling issues revolving around his new show and forthcoming album. Much like Minaj before him, new dates for his trek have yet to be released.

While Childish Gambino’s reason is understandable, there’s still bound to be heartbreak amongst the many fans who won’t be able to make the rescheduled date on his final tour. Fingers are crossed that Gambino can make up the lost dates before year’s end. Additionally, there has yet to be any word on whether the openers on both tours will rejoin for the rescheduled dates.
