Hope Tank is Hosting a Panel for Women in The Music Industry Tomorrow

Tomorrow, South Broadway will come alive with music as the Underground Music Showcase takes over. And in between all of that hustle and bustle, Denver’s Hope Tank will host an event of their own.

It’s called shesaid.so, and its goal is to foster collaboration, creativity and positive values among women. Furthermore, it’s a network for women who haven’t been afforded the opportunities, resources and visibility that others in the music industry have been given. This is the first shesaid.so event in Colorado and features a panel discussion among music guru’s and giants regarding the trials and tribulations in the industry today.

“As a female who struggled to forge my own path and find my own place in the music business, I’ve relied heavily on shesaid.so’s global group as I’ve faced obstacles. The network has been inspiring and instrumental to my personal and professional growth,” explained Lauren Kashuk, Ideaison founder. “This is what motivated me to bring it to Colorado — our music industry is one of the fastest growing in the region. I’m taken back by the amount of excitement it is already generating,” she continued. “Regardless of our titles or where we’re from, if we can get the right women in the room across disciplines and genres to discuss how we can support one another and grow, I know we’ll see an impact. And that’s powerful.”

shesaid.so began in London in 2014 and has since grown into an organization of more than 2,500 members globally. As an active empowerment space for women, it aims to be a space for the female community to gain advice, share jobs, events, announce new projects and communicate. And this Friday’s event will host some powerful communicators of its own:

  • Ming Lee Newcomb — Editor in Chief, Live for Live Music
  • Cassie Cowen — Owner, Plus One Music Consulting
  • Leah Concialdi —Musician, Tnertle and Atomga.
