This Week In Concerts – Dragondeer, G-Eazy, Lorde and More

How is everyone enjoying March so far? This week’s concert offerings are full of musical diversity and plenty of opportunities to participate in the Mile High City’s unrelenting concert scene. This is the first true week of March and there are over 100 events packed into seven short days.

Monday, March 5

To kick off the week Lorde will be taking over The Pepsi Center alongside rap stars Run The Jewels and Swedish pop star Tove Styrke. Lorde’s Pepsi Center debut has been long in the making and we can’t wait to see the kind of show she will bring with her to Denver. Tickets are still available for this performance, so make sure to snag some while you can.

Tuesday, March 6

Oakland-based rapper G-Eazy is coming to Denver on Tuesday to perform at 1st Bank Center out in Broomfield. In December of 2017, G-Eazy celebrated his most recent studio release of The Beautiful & Damned and is known for his suave and smooth demeanor. Joining G-Eazy are fellow artists Trippie Redd, Phora and Anthony Russo making this a show you won’t want to miss.

Recommended: Chess at Breakfast w/ Post/War, Creature Keeper @ Lost Lake

The Lost Lake Lounge is one of the best venues in Denver that consistently showcases local Colorado talent. On Wednesday, Fort Collins’ very own experimental rock band Chess at Breakfast is headed down to Denver to headline Colfax’s Lost Lake Lounge. Fellow Colorado acts Post/War and Creature Keeper will be joining Chess at Breakfast making this a great night for Colorado music.

Wheelchair Sports Camp is one of the Denver acts who’ve made a strong name for themselves. From political activism to fresh beats and bars – Wheelchair Sports Camp never disappoints. On Thursday, the hip-hop group will be taking over Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox with fellow Denver act Rubedo. Tickets are still on sale for this showcase of Denver talent at Ophelia’s.

Steel Panther took a page right out of a book from the ’80s. Armed with big hair and an even bigger sound, Steel Panther is headed to the Fillmore to finish out the work week on Friday. Steel Panther formed back in 2000 and has taken full advantage of their eclectic message and looks. Joining the mock-’80s band is Denver guitarist Jacob Cade.

Since 1979, George Clinton has led the charge with his two bands Parliament and Funkadelic. After venturing off on a solo career, Clinton is uniting both Parliament and Funkadelic as they make their way to the Ogden Theatre. Clinton is also bringing along opening act Miss Velvet & The Blue Wolf making this a great night to enjoy some funk and rock.
