Hailing from the southwestern mountain town of Telluride, you wouldn’t expect to find a taste of the east at the newly opened there… But, the eclectically decorated restaurant vibes off of the quirky, international nature of its hometown and brings you a primarily Izakaya themed feast.
Steamed buns, Kushayaki skewers and miso glazed eggplant are just a few Japanese-inspired bites you can expect. Other offerings such as tostadas, potatoes bravas and Brussels sprouts round out the menu for those looking to satisfy their more western-oriented appetites. Cocktails draw on on classics and the vow to concoct whatever your heart desires. Beers on draft are all from Telluride Brewing Company, while the canned variety is more locally minded (Great Divide’s Collete resides on the list).

Miso glazed eggplant ($12): Caramelized honey miso glazed eggplant served over a jicama, red cabbage, celery, pickled ginger slaw. Garnished with sesame seeds. All photos by Brittany Werges.
Jam cocktail ($9)- Patrons can choose a spirit and a jam to mix into their drink. Pictured: Blueberry Maine jam and rye whiskey.
Steamed Buns ($4 each): (left) Soft shell crab battered in tempura dressed in masago, house creamy spicy, and cucumber. (Left) Crispy spicy duck made with house creamy spicy, scallion.
Apricot Crisp cocktail ($11) – Apricot jam, lychee juice, Campari, and topped with Prosecco.
Kushiyaki Prawn Skewers ($9 per order- two pieces) – Grilled and served with a Aji Amarillo (Peruvian chile spice) cream cheese, pickled ginger, and celery
Kobe Steak ($30) 6oz Kobe steak seasoned and seared, sliced thin, served medium rare over a dressed bed of mixed greens, finished with balsamic reduction and white truffle oil.
Brussel Sprouts ($6) – Fried and seasoned. They are not listed on the menu, ask your waiter if you’d like to order.
