Most of the time, happy hour is a simple affair: assorted alcoholic drinks priced a few bucks cheaper. And so it is at Jonesy’s EatBar, where the daily specials apply only to select wines ($5 a glass), select cocktails ($3), and select Colorado craft beers ($3). It’s a good menu, especially when you can get your hands on a glass of Breckenridge Agave Wheat or Wynkoop Patty’s Chili Beer, and it’s all you need, pretty much, to get your happy on.
But sometimes, you just have to go off-menu.

Getting a split of fries at Jonesy’s is the Two-Face of bar snacks: A single plate with two different fry flavors divided neatly at the middle. We chose Bacon Mac & Cheese alongside Truffle—the former gooey with melted cheddar, some kind of béchamel, and crisp bits of bacon; the latter creamy with truffle aioli and parmesan cheese. One was homey while the other was more elegant, but both were delicious in their own special way.
