McDonald’s Rocky Mountain Region Owner/Operators Supporting Colorado Families

McDonald's Rocky Mountain Region

Ask any of the McDonald’s owner/operators across the Rocky Mountain region what their job is, and they won’t say “sell burgers.” They’ll say,Take care of the community.” For the owner/operators behind the McDonald’s Rocky Mountain Region locations, this is the philosophy that shapes every decision they make, from the register to the schools to the hospital.

These aren’t corporate entities. They’re local businesses, owned and operated by local families who have chosen to invest back into the communities that support them.

In the Classroom

Through the One Class at a Time program, McDonald’s Rocky Mountain Region owner/operators provide $2,000 grants to deserving local teachers that fund supplies, experiences and resources for their students. For many recipients, it’s the kind of financial support that makes a tangible change on the entire school year. McDonald’s Rocky Mountain Region provides 16 of these grants each school year, amounting to $32,000 every year.

On McTeacher’s Night, the register gets handed over to local educators. Local McDonald’s restaurants partner with nearby schools to host an evening dedicated to giving back to the teachers who are changing lives. A portion of sales from these events directly supports school programs, helping teachers raise money for their classrooms and student activities. Equal parts fundraiser and dinner party – it’s a win-win!

At the Hospital

When a child is seriously ill, the hardest thing for a family can be simply staying together. The Round Up for Ronald McDonald House program makes that possible. Every time a customer rounds up their order to the nearest dollar, that change goes directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities Denver and Ronald McDonald House Charities Southern Colorado, which provide housing and support for families with hospitalized children. These small amounts make a huge impact, and it adds up to families who don’t have to choose between being together and keeping a roof over their heads.

In the Community

McDonald’s Rocky Mountain Region owner/operators show up beyond their four walls. They sponsor youth sports, support local nonprofits, partner with local events, and find new ways to weave themselves into their communities. This spring, that commitment takes a new form with the sponsorship of the Mommy & Me show at Denver Fashion Week. This show is a celebration of the family bond that feels right at home for businesses that have spent decades investing in families.

In the Rocky Mountain region, showing up has always been the whole point.
