Denver celebrated the end of summer with a street art makeover by CRUSH — seven days during which 77 local and international artists teamed up to bless the RiNo Art District with unique artistic displays right on the street. Graffiti and street art are celebrated and embraced in the city, and this event was an outlet to showcase the innate talent of artists from Denver and around the world. With a stocked calendar including skate deck painting and screen printing workshops, surprise after-hour DJ sets and boutique pop-ups, all were able to join in on the festivities. While CRUSH focused on art on the streets, we wanted to highlight street style as a form of art and expression in itself.
While attendees enjoyed immersive experiences and live painting, we took a look at what attendees grabbed from their closets to honor the event. Jumpsuits were a major trend as everyone loves to be comfortable while looking put together. Fun patterns such as cheetah print, feathers and flowers were showcased to express their personal styles and attitudes.
