I heard of this town several times but I have never had chance to visit. What a pretty town! Thank you for sharing! Gotta plan a trip to Durango this fall.
As a Minneapolis Minnesota native we were brought to Durango for our young adult to attend school there. We never expected to fall so in love with the area. The Proximity is incredible for different adventures. You are within 2.5 hours of of Mesa Varda, Silverton/Ouray/Telluride, Pagosa Springs, Wolf Creek, The Four corners, Middle Mountain and many great ski resorts, hiking, kayaking and adventure. But Durango itself holds such a fun little life. It’s beautiful, entertaining and lots of interesting things to do. The nightlife is fun, great food and restaurants and very friendly people. The prices are also good for food and lodging. I don’t like to spread the word about Durango to often because after retirement this is where we are heading, I don’t think I can do -10 to -35 winters and average snowfall of 50 with snow that hits the ground in Nov and stays in the ground until Mar.
