Make the race even more exciting and get a team together to run and fund-raise—last year the Top Fundraising Team raised around $4,000 and, all together, the race raised about $20,000 in donations and pledges. All participants will receive a long-sleeved shirt, goodie bag and a medallion at the finish line, but the top three male and female 5K runners will also receive trophies. The Cookie Chase’s Top Individual Fundraiser and Top Fundraising Team will receive plaques as prizes.

Stay after the race to enjoy live music, entertainment, activities like cookie decorating and arcade games. Get some exercise in, dunk some cookies in milk, and, if the fundraising goal is met, grant at least four (almost five) wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions—even if you lose the 5K race, the Cookie Chase still sounds like a win-win event to me.
Sign up online until Thursday night at midnight or show up Saturday morning—registration opens at 9 a.m. and the 5K begins at 10 a.m.
