Punch Bowl Social will be hosting a GOT themed costume contest complete with live DJ and prizes that will be awarded for Best Couple, Most Creative and Sexiest costumes. The Low Down: If your Halloween plans take you uptown, make sure you stop by Humboldt. Kids will score candy, while every adult with a costumed kiddo gets a free shot of Fireball, the red-hot cinnamon whisky.
Three Nights of Halloween Parties at the ViewHouse Centennial and Ballpark
Where: Centennial – 7101 S Clinton Street; Ballpark – 2015 Market Street
When: Thursday, October 30th – Sunday, November 1st
The Low Down: At ViewHouse, Halloween lasts more than just one night. On Thursday, come in costume and indulge in Halloween drink specials like Bacardi Bat Bite shots and the Bacardi Zombie along with giveaways all night long. At the Centennial location, you can also enter to win Mix 100’s enchanting trip to see Wicked in New York City.
Friday brings more Halloween drinks, DJs, giveaways, a festive photo booth and a costume contest where you could win $1,000 cash. Plus, it’s your second chance to enter to win Mix 100’s Wicked giveaway. Winner will be announced at midnight on Halloween, must be present to win.
On Saturday, celebrate the Day of the Dead with another shot at winning $1,000 cash for the “most possessed” costume.

Bonanno will demonstrate how to make perfect pie crust, and cook up four different pies with both sweet and savory decorative toppings.

Sarto’s Social Italian Eatery

When: Opens today, October 28th, 2014
The Low Down: Denver’s newest Italian eatery opens today with the arrival of Sarto’s in the Jefferson Park/Highlands neighborhood. Chef Brian Laird (formerly of Barolo Grill) is heading up this new establishment that will be serving up Italian-inspired eats and drinks along with a cicchetti bar where diners can nosh on small plates. Expect Sarto’s Pantry to open next door later this week as well, a market where you can score culinary treats like house-made pastas and breads.
