Whip It! All Vinyl ’80s Dance Party

Ski and Snowboard Waxing Workshop

The Lowdown: REI Denver presents a Ski and Snowboard Waxing Workshop. The event features a night to learn how to properly wax your ski or snowboard. The workshop will cover the basics of waxing, the best waxes to use and more. Bring your gear and be ready to wax.

Intro to Knitting

The Lowdown: Grandma’s House presents Intro to Knitting. The event features a two-hour intro to knitting class with Calypso In Color. You can learn the basics of using knitting needles, making loops and more. The ticket price includes all of the materials needed to participate.

The Lowdown: The Denver Press Club presents Purplish. The event features a look inside the podcast Purplish, created by Colorado Public Radio reporter Sam Brasch. The podcast dives deeper to learn about the political history of Colorado and how the state is known for being more or less “purple” — or in other words, an equal mixture of blue Democrats and red Republicans.

Steady Flow

The Lowdown: Mile High Spirits presents Steady Flow. The event features a celebration of funk music with a performance from Steady Flow, a six-piece funk band created by Tanner Brown and his brother Ky “Goonie-Mom” Brown. You can also listen to live music from Plaid Hawaii, a killer electronic band.

Friday, January 4

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in Concert

The Lowdown: Boettcher Concert Hall presents Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in Concert. The event features a performance of the soundtrack from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix from the Colorado Symphony as the film is projected onto a large wall.

First Friday Art Walk

9th Annual Opening Day Happy Hour

Free First Saturday at DAM

The Lowdown: Denver Art Museum (DAM) hosts Free First Saturday at DAM. The event features a chance to explore the galleries and all of the exhibitions available without a special ticket. Tickets will need to be purchased for exhibitions such as Dior: From Paris to the World, however.

The Lowdown: Summit Denver presents NEON MASQ. The event features a black-light masquerade party with interactive local art installations, aerial dancers and more. You can also listen to live music from five bands, see live body art painting and check out some amazing blacklight murals.

The Finale

Resolve 5k/10k/1m

Cinema Twain

Après Yoga
