Recommended: Troye Sivan w/ Kim Petras, Carlie Hanson @ The Fillmore
To kick things off on Monday, singer-songwriter Troye Sivan is headed to Denver to take over The Fillmore. Sivan gained popularity at a young age due to his incredible vocal talents and continues to gain traction to this day. Earlier this year, Sivan celebrated the release of his latest album Bloom which included the hit song “Dance To This” featuring Ariana Grande. Fellow artists Kim Petras and Carlie Hanson are joining Sivan this Monday as well.

On Tuesday night, ’80s-style pop-synth group St. Lucia is coming to the Mile High City to headline The Ogden. St. Lucia is known for their retro sound that packs a modern punch. If you’re looking for something to get you familiar with this band, check out their most recent 2018 release of Hyperion. Joining St. Lucia is fellow artist Akells as they both make their way to Denver.

Folk legend Joan Baez is coming to the heart of downtown Denver to take over The Paramount Theatre. Baez’s career spans over the last 50 years and she is known as one of the most accomplished and successful folk artists of all time. In 2018, Baez is putting an end to her touring career but she’s going out with a bang as she released her most recent album Whistle Down The Wind earlier this year. Tickets are still available to see Baez in action, so grab some while you can.

To end the work week on Friday, Kamasi Washington is taking over The Ogden. This is Washington’s second Denver appearance of 2018 as the multi-faceted musician opened up for Vulfpeck at Red Rocks back in April. Washington’s music is tight, clean and in the pocket. The rhythms and structure of his work are smooth and tasteful as well. Washington is bringing along fellow artist VICTORY on his Denver run at The Ogden.

If you’re looking for a blast from the early 2000s, you’re in luck. On Sunday night, Hoobastank is headed to Englewood to take over The Gothic Theatre. Hoobastank rose to fame in 2004 with their hit song “The Reason” which racked up multiple Grammy nominations. In 2018, the rock band is still going strong as they just released a new album titled Push Pull. Fellow 2000s rockers Secondhand Serenade is on the bill for the evening as well, making this a rock show you won’t want to miss.
