We’ve all seen them — the outrageous sweets piled high with everything from Oreos to Fruity Pebbles and bacon that Voodoo Doughnut introduced to the city four years ago. And now, it’s opening another location on South Broadway. The second location will take over Famous Pizza, an eatery that has been a part of the Denver community for more than 40 years.
“We’re excited and happy to be part of the Denver community and are looking forward to continuing to provide employment, fantastic doughnuts and smiles to a growing neighborhood,” stated co-founder Kenneth Pogson.
The cash-only doughnut distributor is known for both its decorative doughnuts and its iconic pink boxes. And since opening the first Denver location on Colfax in 2014, the Oregon hailing bakery has only continued to gain fame and fans. The South Broadway shop will be this chains eighth (and one half) location — with three and a half in Oregon, one in Denver, one in Austin, one in Hollywood and one in Orlando. It is expected to open within the coming year, though the team has not announced an official opening date. Stay tuned with us, here, for all details as they are announced.
