This Week In Concerts – Chvrches, Jack White, Leon Bridges, Panic! At The Disco and More

August is off to a strong start this week and we couldn’t be more excited. There are so many different types of shows going on across the Mile High City as we enter the first full week of August. The city of Denver never seems to stop delivering jam-packed weeks full of music for fans of all genres. There’s no time like the present, so take advantage of the week and go explore the Denver music scene.

Monday, August 6

On Monday, Chvrches is coming to Denver to perform at The Ogden Theatre. Originally hailing from Glasgow, CHVRCHES is known for their synth-pop sound and catchy hooks. If you’re new to this band, we recommend checking out their 2018 release of Love Is Dead as a primer for this killer act. Joining Chvrches on their Denver run at The Ogden is indie-pop group Pale Waves.

Panic! At The Disco is keeping things moving this week as they are gearing up to headline The Pepsi Center on Tuesday. Panic! At The Disco just celebrated the release of their most recent studio album Pray For The Wicked which includes some incredible tracks such as “Roaring 20s” and “(Fuck) A Silver Lining.” Joining Panic! At The Disco on Tuesday night are fellow bands Arizona and Hayley Kiyoko.

Wednesday, August 8

On Wednesday, Jack White is taking over Broomfield’s 1st Bank Center. White announced his 1st Bank Center show back in January of this year and now the wait is finally over. White is known for his eccentric style as well as his diverse skill sets as a vocalist and guitar player. Fellow musician Tyler Childers will be joining White at the 1st Bank Center this Wednesday. Tickets are still available for this show, so don’t miss your chance to snag some.

Leon Bridges is taking on Red Rocks on Thursday in what will be an R&B show that will hit your soul hard. Bridges is known for his smooth voice and grooving songwriting style. Bridges first hit the scene in 2015 with the release of his first album Coming Home only to follow it up with his most recent 2018 release of Good Thing. Khruangbin and Masego are on the bill for Thursday night as well, making this a show you won’t want to miss.

Chris Stapleton will be wrapping up the work week this Friday with a show at The Pepsi Center. Colorado-based artist Pretty Lights is returning to Red Rocks this Friday and Saturday. Pretty Lights is no stranger to the Red Rocks stage as he has performed on the legendary stage almost every year. Derek Vincent Smith, better known by his stage name Pretty Lights, is known for tracks such as “Finally Moving” and “Yellowbird.” Joining Pretty Lights on his 2018 Red Rocks run are fellow bands The Russ Liquid Test and Trophy Beats.

To end this week in Denver concerts, Fiddler’s Green is throwing it back with a stacked line up of ’80s bands such as A Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Naked eyes, Missing Persons and so many more on Sunday night. Earlier this year, Fiddler’s Green threw it back to the ’90s, and now they are taking it a decade further back in time. This concert is sure to be a blast, especially if you’re a fan of some ’80s tunes.
