Over the weekend, people from all walks of life came together to celebrate the freedom to love and be loved at Denver’s 43rd annual PrideFest hosted by the GLBT Center of Colorado. A 5K race kicked off the festivities on Saturday morning for those overachievers who wanted to start the weekend off strong. Festival-goers then celebrated at Civic Center Park with dozens of local food and art vendors. On Sunday morning, the Coors Light PrideFest Parade was the main attraction with tens of thousands of attendees watching the march from Cheesman Park to the state Capitol. The weekend culminated with an after party at the popular Denver nightclub, Temple, for those not ready to leave the weekend behind. PrideFest brimmed with feelings of unbridled joy and acceptance and the outfits of the weekend reflect just that. Below are some of our favorite looks from the festival.

Madelaine, Nathan and Ophelia Peaches celebrated Pride on Saturday. Nathan wore a homemade tool skirt and Madeline and Ophelia dressed up in Drag to promote Dragutan, an event where boys and girls can express themselves through Drag.

Crowley G. wore a blue pullover with a rainbow hat because she felt like the colors really expressed who she is.

Kyle Johnson and Joe Xoumphonphakdy are part of CHEER Colorado, a group of volunteer cheerleaders who raise money for LGBTQ charities.

August Ramirez, Aliyah Harrison and Kenlie Rohrer kept it simple yet colorful at Civic Center Park on Saturday.

Sam Chacon thrifted her shoes and most of her accessories. She wanted to keep it subtle but still show her support.
