The Lowdown: Start your summer right at Chicken Fight. The event features Denver restaurants like The Regional, Birdcall, Chicken Rebel, FNG and more competing for the titles of best wings, fried chicken and best chicken dishes in the Mile High City. The Lowdown: Listen to some sweet jams at the Wildermiss vinyl release of Lost With You. The upbeat alternative band is all local and presents nearly angelic vocals from Emma Cole. The vinyl release will also have Wildermiss performing a killer show with Ivory Circle and In/Planes. You can snag a vinyl for yourself and dance to some great music.

The Lowdown: Watch a showing of Labyrinth at “Goats in RiNo.” The event features the film screening with baby goats and other cute animals surrounding you. Then, just sit back, relax and enjoy the goats (oh, and the movie too).

The Lowdown: Party all night long to great music at Final Fridays. The event is a grassroots concert series all across Denver. Sunset Paddle

The Lowdown: Unwind at a sunset stand-up paddleboard session on Sloan Lake. You can watch the sun go down with a view of the mountains or the Denver skyline on the scenic lake. The Lowdown: There are only four more chances to see Erika Diamond’s exhibition, Escape/Run, Hide, Fight at PlatteForum. The arts education and youth development organization often shows work that is thought-provoking and relevant, and Diamond’s show doesn’t fall short of that. The exhibition features bulletproof Kevlar vest designs for queer individuals, as well as pieces that reflect an emergency room scenario and both provide an interesting examination of how contemporary fashion and safety can work together.

West Side Brewery Bike Loop
