Calling all soul, gospel, R&B and blues lovers.
Leon Bridges just announced a Red Rocks show and we’re already swooning. The Texas hailing artist has been moving audiences since his 2015 debut studio album Coming Home. He learned to play guitar while working at a Fort Worth restaurant and went on to launch his career with Columbia Records. Since then, the soulful artist has produced and performed with industry giants like Macklemore and Pharrell Williams. Bridges’ music has been featured on the hit series Big Little Lies and was even nominated for best R&B album at the 58th annual Grammy Awards. Now, he’s coming to Red Rocks August 9 for a summertime performance.
Bridges perform with special guests Khruangbin and Masego Music. The show will come to the Mile High City just after the release of his second studio album Good Thing, which is scheduled to drop May 4, 2018. There’s huge anticipation for this album, in light of the international success that his first studio album brought. Coming Home topped charts worldwide — stealing number six on the US Billboard 200 and number eight on Australian Albums. The album received rave reviews from publications like Rolling Stone and The Guardian and has undoubtedly set a precedent of high expectation for his next production. And that album will drop three months before his Red Rocks performance, giving fans plenty of time to get acquainted with his new material.
So there you have it, two things to look forward to. New music in May and an unforgettable performance by one of soul and R&B’s best. Each online ticket purchase comes with a copy of Bridges new CD dropping soon. Presale tickets go on sale March 29, here.
