The end of March is almost here and Denver is keeping it going. Start your week off by seeing amazing fashion at Denver Fashion Week and end it by trying your hand at water marbling at iMarble. However you spend your week, make sure to check out this roundup of events happening Denver.

Monday, March 19

Denver Fashion Week

The Lowdown: 303 Magazine hosts Denver Fashion Week and there are a ton of amazing shows that you need to see. You can hit all of the different shows including the Children’s Fashion Show, Bridal fashion show and more. All of the events during the week are gonna be lit.

Denver Fashion Week Workshops

The Lowdown: Get involved at Denver Fashion Week with multiple Denver Fashion Week workshops. You can improve your modeling skills at a models workshop this Monday or learn from Denver’s top social media fashion influencers on how to improve your social game or get in on a designers workshop and learn a bit about how to bulid and protect your brand.

New Moon Women’s Gathering

The Lowdown: The REBEL Workout hosts a New Moon Women’s Gathering. Emily Spaeth guides you through an intro to the astrological studies of the moon and how it affects your life. The Lowdown: Abstract Denver presents a Live Print Pop-Up in coordination with Denver Fashion Week. You can snag a free printed t-shirt, created at the live one-time printing. Abstract Denver also drops new product releases, free drinks and more.

Dead Sea Scrolls

Where: Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd., Denver

The Lowdown: The Denver Museum of Nature & Science has acquired the Dead Sea Scrolls. Stop by the exhibit and see the famous manuscripts that date over 2,000 years old. You can also see the largest collection of artifacts from Isreal — including weapons, inscriptions and more.

The Magic of Adam Trent

The Lowdown: The Denver Center for the Performing Arts welcomes The Magic of Adam Trent. Trent comes from the Broadway hit “The Illusionists.” The event features an amazing magic show featuring comedy, music and of course loads of magic.

Mezzotint Demonstration

The Lowdown: Learn all about the process of Mezzotint — printmaking from engraved copper or steel plates — at a Mezzotint Demonstration. You can learn about the history, see the preparation of the copper plate and experience the technique first hand. You can even create your own mezzotint plate.

Tuesday Night Bingo

The Lowdown: Win prizes at Tuesday Night Bingo. Grandma’s House hosts bingo every Tuesday night and you can participate in it by purchasing a full beer to get a bingo card. The more bingos you get, the more beer you win.

The Collab.Den x Denver Fashion Week

The Lowdown: Fort Greene Bar and THE COLLAB. DEN. come together for a special Denver Fashion Week party. The event features pop-up portraits and a photo gallery of the last two COLLAB. art exhibits. You can buy prints during the event for only $15 and the proceeds benefit the Burnes Center on Poverty and Homelessness.

Film For All Seasons

The Lowdown: Watch a great film at Film For All Seasons. The event features the viewing of The Kid — a cinematic landmark for Charlie Chaplin, who directed and starred in it. His character, Tramp, raises an orphan (Jackie Coogan) with the right amount of comedy and tenderness.

F*ckUp Nights Denver

The Lowdown: Ophelia’s presents F*ckUp Nights Denver. Watch a series of THE CHADS perform all night long. An Intimate Conversation with Kaitlyn Tucek

ImPressed: Behind The Hedges

The Lowdown: Art Gym Denver hosts ImPressed: Behind The Hedges for the third year in a row. The exhibition, juried by Craig Zammiello, features an array of printmaking processes and pulls its inspiration from Grey Gardens, an East Hampton NY estate belonging to the Beale Family.

APRÈS HOUR

The Lowdown: Niza Knoll Gallery welcomes five artists for a Printers 5 Exhibit. The exhibit features the works of Lisa Gakyo Schaewe, Jennifer Ghormley, Lydia Riegle, Debra Rosenbaum and Chris Warot. The exhibit is part of Mo’Print, a month of printmaking, to raise awareness and promote education in the Denver metropolitan area.

Paper Fashion Show

The Lowdown: Embrace Denver Fashion Week and see a Paper Fashion Show. The show features designs created from paper donated by paper mills and Spicers Paper. The creations are voted on by a panel of judges and winners are given trophies made of — you guessed it — paper

Colorado Anime Fest

Shut Up & Listen

The Lowdown: The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver presents Shut Up & Listen. The new series celebrates the art of live storytelling with a mixture of comedy and a live podcast taping. The first event features the live taping of Raconteur Denver (a live storytelling podcast) and later a set from comedian Christie Buchele.

Poetry Reading

The Lowdown: Listen to Cuban-American poet Ricardo Pau-Llosa read from his new book, “Intruder between Rivers/Intruso entre Ríos.” at a poetry reading. The poems are read in both English and Spanish. Pau-Llosa is joined by Enrico Mario Santí, another Cuban-American poet, writer and scholar.

RiNo Community Clean-Up Day

The Lowdown: Help make the RiNo Art District look and feel better at a RiNo Community Clean-Up Day. You can pick up trash around the neighborhood and get a better look at what the district offers. When you volunteer you receive free breakfast, lunch, a RiNo t-shirt from A Small Print Shop and a free drink at any of the participating DRiNK RiNo breweries, wineries and more within your clean up zone.

March For Our Lives

The Lowdown: March for the students and victims of shooting across America at March For Our Lives. March For Our Lives was created and led by students from around the country to stop the increase of mass school shootings.

The Lowdown: Learn the ancient technique of water marbling at iMarble. You can try printing a piece after you learn on Japanese marbling paper, though the instructors create a design.
