Red Rocks Just Announced More 2018 Local Sets

For Coloradans who love to dive into the local music scene, Red Rocks’ newest event has you covered. With a blend of local Colorado bands and delectable food and drink, the Red Rocks Local Set aims to get groovy with anyone who wants to attend. Taking place indoors, the events will also have passed hors d’ oeuvres and a complimentary drink. The venue has already hosted one local set this year on January 12 — the first show at the venue of 2018 — with Dynamic Distractions and Venture Still.

Sugar Ridge Band will take over the indoor venue this Friday. The six-piece ensemble combines the sounds of talented vocals, guitar, bass, banjo, keyboard, mandolin, ukulele and harmonica just to name a few. Featuring a wide range of ages and musical experiences, the band hosts a spectrum of diverse songs to feed your bluegrass hunger. Tickets can be found here.

Then, in March, the Boulder-native duo Many Mountains will join the high-energy Miguel Dakota and the Differents for a night filled with folk, rock and indie pleasures. Placing their lyricism at the forefront of their musical process, Many Mountains discusses the nature of relationships in their music — both with the world and each other. Similarly, Miguel Dakota and the Differents have also navigated their band’s internal relationship since their inception in 2014. Main vocalist, Miguel Dakota, placed sixth on the ninth season of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and since then has manifested soulful live performance with his bandmates. Tickets can be found here.

Attendees will also be able to take a backstage tour of Red Rocks, exploring the famous venue’s vast musical history. A small additional fee of $8 grants this access, giving an inside look at the Colorado amphitheater’s magical past.
