Can you believe this is the last week in July? It was a stellar month for Denver concerts with upwards of 500 events occurring in a 31-day span. Take advantage of this last week by wrapping up summer with a national act or check out the 17th annual Underground Music Showcase (UMS) happening near the end of the week.

Recommended: Sabrina Carpenter w/ Alex Aiono, New Hope Club @ The Paramount Theatre

Pop artist Sabrina Carpenter is headed to LoDo’s Paramount Theatre to kick off the week on Monday as a stop on her De-Tour. Carpenter is gaining momentum in the industry with her singles released in 2017 along with the two full-length albums she released over the last two years. Joining Carpenter are pop artists Alex Aiono and New Hope Club making this a show that will have you dancing in your seat.

Internet sensations 2CELLOS will be performing their renditions of classic songs at Red Rocks on Tuesday. The Croation cellists are known for their abilities to transform modern and classical era songs into creative string arrangements. Recommended: Glass Animals w/ Little Dragon @ Red Rocks

Glass Animals is returning to Red Rocks this year as a headlining act. In 2016, the pop indie group opened for a sold out Portugal. The Man at Red Rocks. Glass Animals’ live performances are known to be energetic and full of life. The opening act, Little Dragon, is an electronic group that formed in Sweden in 1996. If you’re looking for mid week jam session, this will be the show to catch.

This is angsty rock at its finest (in the best way possible). AFI and Circa Survive are coming to Red Rocks. Whether you’ve been a fan of both acts since the early 2000’s or you are just now getting into them, this will be one memorable show at a memorable venue. Both AFI and Circa Survive celebrated new releases in 2017. Joining the acts is Ohio and Michigan rock group, Citizen. This will be one head banging show you don’t want to miss.

With support from rappers Travis Scott and D.R.A.M., this is sure to be one of Denver’s biggest shows of the year. There will also be a pop-up shop going up on South Broadway that will sell various merch and Damn.-themed items the day of the show.

The Underground Music Showcase (UMS) is one of Denver’s most popular music festivals of the year. The four-day festival is a great medium to deliver local talent to the masses. Local acts of all genres will be featured at multiple venues throughout the South Broadway area. Although Sunday is the last day of the festival, the day is jam packed full of great acts. There is still time to pick up passes.
