Review – Broncos Health & Wellness Expo

This past Sunday, the Broncos hosted their annual 7k race and Health & Wellness Expo at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The all-day event hosted exhibits, vendors, activities and meet-and-greets with 9 News anchors and former Denver Broncos. Walking in, there was a large rock wall and tons of activity. It was a bright orange family atmosphere as vendors introduced attendees to new nutrition and gave fans the opportunity to throw footballs and play on the field.

Partnering with 9 News, 24 Hour Fitness, Children’s Hospital Colorado, King Soopers and UCHealth, the hallways of the stadium were filled with families enjoying the various activities and exploring the stadium. With over 96 exhibitors, there was plenty to do for everyone of all ages. There were services for adults such as body fat screening through AdvocacyDenver and PlainSmart, the chance to find out about nutrition with King Soopers at the Healthy Cooking Stage and the fun of learning Capoeira at the Dance Place. For the kids, the Kid Fun Zone with Telemundo and Jump Bunch had obstacle courses and face painting.

Walking through the hall at Mile High, you could see everyone sporting their medals from completing the 7k run that took place earlier, which looped Sloan’s Lake to finish on the field. Even still, the energy at the Expo was high and contagious, as attendees found themselves participating in the Sports Simulator, touring the Bronco’s locker rooms, and dancing in the end zones. Next year, be sure to check out this family friendly expo and enjoy perfect weather while exploring Denver health!
