You don’t need to keep your fingers crossed for good weather this week, but a little extra cash would do you some good as there are many events you can’t miss this week. Denver is getting flashy with entertainment icons such as Roseanne Barr, Diana Ross and Cirque du Soleil visiting. The Lowdown: Comedic legend Roseanne Barr found her humble beginnings as a stand-up comedian in Denver, turning her experience as a wife and mother into her best comedy bits. She later created the nine-season hit series “Roseanne” produced by, and starring, herself. She has since then made appearances on a number of popular television series including “The Office”, “Portlandia” and “Last Comic Standing.” This weekend you can join Denver’s Comedy Works in welcoming back the “domestic goddess” to where it all began.

The Lowdown: If you’re a fan of breathtaking stunts that incorporate danger, skill and beauty then you should watch Cirque du Soleil. If you also happen to be a fan of James Cameron’s movie Avatar, you absolutely must watch Cirque du Soleil — Toruk: The First Flight. The newest show by Cirque du Soleil takes spin on the popular blockbuster movie. Shows are available until July 24.

The Lowdown: Music, booze and fun with robots, all for a good cause. This Saturday you can view, and even fiddle with, some of the newest gadgets that technology has to offer. The Lowdown: The Bubble Run is a foamy, fun 5K for the entire family to enjoy.
