The holidays are stressful enough without burning the pumpkin pie, so take it easy on yourself and turn to Frank Bonanno for help. Some of you are like me, aspiring chefs who love to eat everything but who can’t seem to bake a dessert to save your life. Others (you know who I’m talking about) are just trying to get through Thanksgiving dinner in one piece. By the dessert course some of you wish you could put a dollop of cool whip on a plate and call it good.

Fortunately, Bonanno’s Wednesday’s Pie has six different holiday pie flavors that will blow your socks off and impress your guests. My favorite is the Maple Bourbon Pumpkin pie ($20) which takes an American classic and elevates it into pure, pumpkin nirvana. The crust is flaky and Bonanno says he added maple to provide a more complex flavor profile. He’s right, because this not-too-sweet pie is creamy and rich and all things fall.

There are plenty of other flavors in the Wednesday’s Pie lineup, including Helliemae Chili Palmer Pecan, Banana Butterscotch, Caramel Apple, Mulled Blueberry, and Chocolate Campari Cherry. All pies are priced between $20-$30, which is a steal of a deal if it saves your Thanksgiving dinner. There’s still time to order for Thanksgiving (details below) and I already have Wednesday’s Pie on speed dial for the month of December. Take it from a fellow food lover, no one cares if the turkey is a little dry or the marshmallows burn if dessert is awe-inspiring. I’m pretty sure Frank won’t care if you take all the credit.

For pick up on or before November 27, place orders online at Wednesday’s Pie by November 24. Pick up times are Monday-Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm. No pies available Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. If you need a pie on the fly, call 303-893-6505 to order by phone. Pie flavors and quantities are based on availability.
