Yoga is always good for you. Yoga in the great outdoors is always better. There’s nothing quite like striking tree in the presence of the pose’s namesake. Yoga Rocks the Park was hatched to facilitate exactly that.

“Yoga Rocks the Park is not just a weekly event,” explains founder Erik Vienneau. “It’s a movement to bring a sense of peace and joy and to celebrate communities throughout the country.”

Yoga Rocks the Park is taught by a different local instructor each week. Patrick Harrington helms Denver’s season finale this Sunday. Harrington is the owner of Kindness Yoga, a studio that’s been growing as fast or faster than the foliage that will surround participants this weekend. Kindness recently opened its fourth location near Leedsdale inside Thrive Integrated Health. Harrington will be accompanied by Scott and Shanti Medina, who are scheduled to provide Kirtan chanting for the event. Wellness brands will be on hand as well. Presenters and sponsors include Be Present, Conscious Real Estate, Luna, Natural Fitness, Prana, Rive’ and My Yoga Online. All ages and levels are welcome and ten percent of profits go to flood victims. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and class commences at 9:30. For further information, YogaRocksthePark.com
