New York Fashion Week is underway and kicking off the bi-annual festivity on Wednesday was the Heart Truth Red Dress Show, which is a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
The annual event campaign features famous faces donning designer dresses on the runway – a far cry from the usual red carpet. This year, twenty-two women of different ages, shapes and star-status wore various notable designer red dresses for the cause. The celeb-filled catwalk included Denise Richards, Julianne Hough, Audrina Patridge, Dita Von Teese, Patti LaBelle and Natasha Bedingfiled among others. Designers represented included Badgley Mischka, Alberta Ferretti, Zac Posen, J. Mendel and Monique Lhuillier to name a few.
I’m all for celebrities on a catwalk for a good cause.
