On June 25th, the Denver Art Museum’s Untitled series hosted a night of “local designers battling it out to the death!”
Thriving on the success of fashion advocate Tran Wills’s Fabric Lab event last year, 9 designers were each supplied with 1 model, 1 assistant, 1 sewing machine, and 1 rack of material including fabric, recycled garments, and everyday objects. Before the runway segment, attendees could walk around and view the designers at work while enjoying the vocals of Ian Cooke. 303 Magazine’s own Charlie Price and Katelyn Simkins provided hair and make-up.
Congratulations to design winner Francis Roces of Kimono Dragons. (BTW- Francis is selling his clothing this month at the Shoppe on Colfax).

Charlie and I had to leave before the runway portion – it was so fun finally getting to see how it all turned out! Thanks Jose!
