Saturday, December 6th, Mirada Fine Art will open its doors 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. to celebrate the holidays as well as their success “with a gala worthy of their accomplishment.” Mirada Fine Art located in Indian Hills, first opened its doors toward the end of 2009 when the rest of the fine art galleries were wading through the economic conditions, most galleries happy to still have collectors not weary of the economic climate or happy that they have other income sources to support the fine art side of the gallery.

While a gallery in Indian Hills may seem a bit unexpected, it is truly a location to visit and to experience fine art. “Since opening in 2009, both the gallery and owner/curator Steve Sonnen have been prominently featured in national and international publications such as “American Art Collector,”Luxe Magazine,” and “The Culture Trip,” as well as appearing on numerous “Best Of” lists. The American Art Awards has named Mirada Fine Art one of the top 25 galleries in the U.S. three years running…. 2012, 2013 and 2014.”

“Unexpected,” states Sonnen. “That’s the word we hear most often when people experience Mirada for the very first time. I think they are completely shocked that a contemporary gallery with world-class artists would be in this location, but we absolutely love our old log building, thats what they tell us and so do our clients.”

For the celebration Saturday, December 6th Mirada will unveil the artwork of Javier Lopez Barbosa and Tom Matucci, two brand new artists for the gallery. Barbosa is from Santa Fe, New Mexico and Matucci from Chicago, Illinois. Both are nationally acclaimed artists who have never exhibited in Colorado before. “In addition to this unveiling, there will be live music, many Mirada artists in attendance, wonderful beverages and a wide assortment of hors d’oeuvres.

Mirada Fine Art is just a short drive from Denver. Mirada offers an artistic experience like no other. Located in an enchanting log building that was once the Indian Hills Trading Post built in 1920 with many of the original features still present. The art places you in the here and now while the log interior takes you on an unexpected journey through the artistic lens. The warmth of a large stone fireplace welcomes you in. “Sonnen and his staff strive to provide the best customer service possible and continuously bring new artists and artwork into the gallery so visitors are always sure to find new treasures.”
