Denver are you ready for the Great Urban Race scavenger hunt and benefit for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, this Saturday?  I know I am. This year about 1000 adults are expected to partake in this wild trampling around The City. Bring your creativity, as some of the fun is watching what all the teams are wearing. In the past teams have dressed up in crazy costumes, Super Heroes etc..  I love this Waldo team.

Teams will solve 12 clues and complete physical and mental challenges by walking, running or using public transportation.  Participants may find themselves scavenging for random items, deciphering puzzles or completing a physical challenge or game.  The first 25 teams to complete the race will have the opportunity to compete in the National Championship race in New Orleans for a chance at the $10,000 prize.

“Great Urban Race is a fun way to discover all that Denver has to offer,” said Race Director Emma Rush.

For the second year in a row, Great Urban Race has partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, the nation’s top children’s cancer hospital, to allow participants to give back while they compete. Participants can simply sign up as a St. Jude Hero and secure donations from family and friends and the Great Urban Race will donate $10 to the hospital for each participant who registers. Last year, Great Urban Race’s St. Jude Heroes raised nearly $200,000 in support of St. Jude and its fight against childhood cancer.
