Welcome back to “Mile High Conversations”, where each month we will be interviewing different Colorado based businesses. This month’s guest is Lindsay Perella, owner of Chic Vintiques, a Denver based business that blends fashion, interiors and intentional living — offering curated vintage pieces that carry both character and soul.
Known for her elevated yet approachable aesthetic, Perella helps clients express their individuality through vintage and secondhand finds rooted in sustainability, storytelling and the belief that personal style reflects one’s most desired lifestyle.
303: What first sparked your love for vintage?
Perella: I’ve always loved vintage and secondhand shopping. Growing up in Saratoga Springs, New York, I would go to antique stores and thrift shops with my family. It was something we did often. I was drawn to the stories behind the items, the thrill of the hunt, and how everything felt so full of character. Those experiences stuck with me and really shaped my eye for curating meaningful pieces.
303: How did the idea for Chic Vintiques come about?
Lindsay: Chic Vintiques started as a creative outlet when I was looking for something new and fulfilling. I was styling my home and wardrobe with vintage pieces, and people kept asking where I found everything. I realized there was a need for intentionally curated vintage that felt both accessible and elevated. That’s when I decided to create a space where people could shop pieces that are already styled and easy to visualize in their own lives. It grew naturally from there into a brand rooted in individuality, self-expression, and sustainable style. To me, Chic Vintiques isn’t just a brand. It’s an invitation to live beautifully and intentionally, one piece at a time.
303: How do you go about sourcing pieces?
Lindsay: It’s part instinct and part adventure. I’m always on the lookout for pieces that feel soulful. Something about the texture, color, or design has to speak to me. I source from estate sales, flea markets, thrift shops and small antique dealers. I keep an eye out for pieces that work together and complement each other in unexpected ways. I’ve always had a natural eye for taking formerly loved items and styling them in a way that feels modern, personal, and completely fresh. It’s not about chasing trends. It’s about uncovering lasting style with a story.

303: You offer personal and custom vintage curated bundles. Can you walk us through that process?
Lindsay: Absolutely. It usually starts with a conversation where I learn about the client’s personal style, home aesthetic, or favorite design eras. From there, I curate a tailored selection such as vintage glassware, a statement bag or a styling board for a specific space.
The goal is to make vintage feel personal, effortless and exciting. I truly believe personal style ties directly to your most desired lifestyle. These bundles are about more than just looks. They help people create wardrobes and spaces that reflect who they are and how they want to feel. It’s always a collaborative process and a fun way for people to explore their style, whether I’m helping with fashion styling, home decor, or larger interior styling projects.
303: Vintage and secondhand shopping are inherently more sustainable. How does sustainability play into your mission at Chic Vintiques?
Lindsay: Sustainability is at the heart of what I do. Every vintage or secondhand piece is one less item being produced new, and I believe that’s a powerful thing. I want people to see that choosing vintage doesn’t mean compromising on style. It actually elevates it. I focus on timeless pieces that can live many lives, and I always encourage slower, more thoughtful consumption. It’s about investing in quality, not quantity.
303: You are now a part of Heirlooms Antique Mall. How did this come about and what has been your favorite part of having a physical space so far?
Lindsay: Becoming part of Heirlooms Antique Mall felt like a natural next step for Chic Vintiques. After doing markets and popups, I was craving a permanent space where I could fully express my style and vision. Booth CV33 became my creative playground. It’s where I can tell stories through styling and offer a curated experience that feels elevated and approachable. My favorite part has been watching people explore the space and connect with the pieces. It’s rewarding to see them discover something that feels personal and unexpected.
303: What has been the most rewarding part of owning this business and being your own boss?
Lindsay: The creative freedom has been everything. I love being able to follow my instincts and build something that feels aligned with my values. But more than that, it’s the customer connection. When someone tells me a piece made their space feel like home or helped them express a new side of themselves, that’s what keeps me going. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know my work brings joy and meaning to people’s lives.
303: What do you see for Chic Vintiques within the next few years?
Lindsay: I want Chic Vintiques to be the place people turn to when they’re ready to shake things up, whether it’s their wardrobe, their home, or just the way they express themselves. It’s all about helping people find their own style rhythm through vintage. I’m excited to keep growing the brand, working closely with clients, and maybe even launching a few surprise projects that are aligned with my vision but push the brand into exciting new territory.
303: What’s one vintage piece that you will never part with?
Lindsay: My swan salt and pepper dishes. They belonged to my grandmother and inspired my brand identity. They remind me to lead with grace, sentiment, and unexpected charm. Those little swans show up in the heart of everything I do.
303: What advice do you have for those wanting to start their own vintage curation business?
Lindsay: Start with a strong point of view. Vintage curation is about more than just finding things. It’s about creating a feeling and telling a story. Be intentional, be consistent, and stay true to your aesthetic. Your eye is your superpower, so trust it. And remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. It just has to be you.
You can find Chic Vintiques at Heirlooms Antique Mall, booth CV33, open everyday from 9:00AM-5:00PM. You can also shop their curated style bundles, where vintage meets personalization by Lindsay.
